Ingo & Shelli’s Story

In 2010 we booked a vacation to Cozumel Island to eat, drink and snorkel (not necessarily in that order). As an afterthought, we decided to take scuba lessons and dive instead. After six weeks of classroom and pool time we completed our certification dives in the Puget Sound. In winter. We were excited to pass, and even more pleased that none of our frozen appendages snapped off. A month later we were back-rolling off a tiny boat in the Caribbean; plunging into warm clear water and swimming with sea turtles, schools of fish, octopus, eels, nurse sharks, and OMG… so much more. It was the most amazing thing either of us had ever experienced, and our financial priorities changed forever. Sorry about your inheritance, Chris.

Scooba-Doo!

We’re always looking forward to our next dive adventure; whether it’s a day trip to Pacific Northwest waters, or travel that will get us intimately acquainted with TSA. Diving has taken us to six different countries on 14 extended trips so far. We have seen such incredible wonder and made so many awesome new friends. We’ve logged hundreds of dives and are still beginners compared to some of our scuba mates. Ingo writes an epic travel blog and Shelli makes videos… clearly we needed a website! We love to share our adventures with friends; whether they like it or not. That’s your cue to read every word and watch all the videos on our Diving Adventures page. No pressure. But there will be a quiz later.

Just Trying to Suck Less

Seeing human impact on wildlife and the environment has made us more passionate than ever about conservation. Over-fishing, pollution, deforestation and a warming climate are stressing ecosystems everywhere. I can only hope you’re not a denier because the facts are indisputable. World population has more than doubled in our lifetime,  and this impacts every other species on the planet. What will we leave for our children and grandchildren? We know that we are part of the problem, but we do our best to live mindfully and be involved in the search for solutions. Check out how you can join us in trying to suck less and Do Some Good. Come on, it’ll be neat!
